Hello everyone who followed my blog after I moved off of A03 for my original fiction. I appreciate every single one of you.
This is a quick update post about what happens next for Notes from the Deathworld Earth, this blog, and other stories I write.
I will begin Editing Notes from the Deathworld Earth on December 13, 2023, exactly one month after I finished writing the first draft. The resting time is necessary because to be a good editor, I need to forget everything that I wrote (or most of it) so that I don’t have rose-colored glasses on while I edit.
While I edit, I will be posting short update posts and mini craft-essays about the process. The first of these will be out in two weeks if I stick to the schedule I’ve set myself. However: I will not be posting edited versions of Notes from the Deathworld Earth here or anywhere else. Maybe I will one day, but I want to give traditional publishing a chance before I turn to self-publishing. Don’t worry, because you’ll still be seeing plenty of fiction in the meantime.
I’ll be posting short stories or short-ish stories on the weeks I don’t post an update about Notes from the Deathworld Earth. These can range from tangential stories about Acharya and their work to entirely new stories. I already have a new set of characters who are currently engaged in a prank war, so look forward to that this Saturday!
